Undoubtedly, Islamic movements are one of the most important periods in Iran's contemporary history; But until now, the examination of these movements has often been focused on a glorifying and glorifying approach, and an aura of sensitivities and sacred areas has always prevented a critical and analytical approach to religious movements.Today, more than ever, we need a pathological evaluation of contemporary Islamic movements in order to recognize and re-examine its shortcomings and inadequacies in order to avoid repetition. In this article, relying on first-hand sources, we have looked at the movement of devotees of Islam from this angle and with a brief picture of the thought of devotees of Islam and their epistemological foundations, we have tried to show its weaknesses and inefficiencies in the field of practice.With an ideological, sociological and historical approach, the author has revealed the contradictions and conflicts between the thought and practice of the devotees of Islam and their theoretical and epistemological shortcomings and has shown why this movement did not have the ability to become a deep, rooted movement with huge support. became socio-political and instead of appearing as an independent and effective force, it was degraded to a large extent as agents under the command of the currents and political elites of that era.
