The link between philosophy and mysticism in the Islamic world

Abstract
Undoubtedly, Islamic philosophy and mysticism, which have gone through many ups and downs throughout their history, contain deep thoughts and advantages that cannot be found in the philosophies and mysticisms that have been cultivated in the lap of other religions, and therefore they may not be easily ignored. It is not possible to understand Islamic philosophy without understanding the importance of Islamic mysticism and its influence on many main figures of Islamic philosophy, from Farabi and Ibn Sina to contemporary figures. In the same way, the understanding of Islamic mysticism, whose growth and evolution has been largely influenced by Islamic philosophy. In this article, Seyyed Hossein Nasr, while exploring the historical relationship between Islamic philosophy and mysticism, gives clues that can be used to measure the relationship between these two branches of knowledge and to recognize their contributions to each other.

In India too, where Islamic philosophy flourished especially during the Mughal period, the same close connection between mysticism and philosophy can be seen among many main figures.In recent times, the influence and influence of Western thought has distanced many people in the Islamic world from both Sufism and traditional Islamic philosophy, but to the extent that this philosophy, which is rooted in a tradition that is twelve centuries old, remains, the relationship between Mysticism and philosophical thinking also remain
