Abstract
Political and social revolutions are trying to implement a new political system. The Islamic Revolution emerged as a historical phenomenon with religious discourse in the context of political Shiism and Khomeini's leadership.

The article examines the relationship between the components of the discourse of revolution and democracy with political development. The discourse narrates the framework and roadmap, specifying the path of society's movement. Among its most prominent components are the principle of divine sovereignty, freedom-seeking, justice-seeking, the fight against arrogance and tyranny, and the revival of religious values, which, unlike liberalism, has a clear fit with religious democracy and expresses a political system based on the authority of the jurist and Islamic laws, and has a deep connection with the history of Alawite Shiism. The reading of religious democracy is aimed at maximum participation and creating an atmosphere of mobility and competition and the commitment of government organs to accountability and responsibility, and an atmosphere of dialogue and criticism.

The results indicate a deep connection with political development in its modern sense, the practical attention to which can smooth the path of political development in Iran.
