Globalization is among important facts and issues in current world which is underway both in software and hardware. Different traditions and religions have proposed formation of a united global society as their ideal throughout the history where Islamic thinkers have explained the differences and commonalities of Islamic view with that in west. Imam Khomeini has also proposed his ideas on this issue as an Islamic thinker.
This article tries to examine the idea of Imam Khomeini by collecting his says and reasoning on them.
The author believes Imam Khomeini had a selective view about globalization and while confirming the hardware side of the process, rejected the current software flow as based on an incomplete knowledge of human and supplying the interests of global suppressive powers. He believed new values should be developed in software side of globalization which could be the natural and human values of Islam in different stages of culture, politics, and economics which could provide the desired global society in long term.
