In the epistemology of social science, the method of the analysis of discourse enjoys a special place today and a great deal of social phenomenon are viewed from the perspeitive of the analysis of discourse. The author of this article tries to study the concept of discourse and its analysis in postmodern views particularly in Foucault’s views and analysis Islamic Revolution on the bases of this method. The assumption of this discourse is that the revolutionary movement of the people of Iran as a text was not the outcome of a particular discourse but in the process of this movement various discourses are involved. As a result Islamic Revolution has many common points with a postimodern movement.
