Abstract
The present article is an attempt to give a broad definition of gnosticism and its place in Imam Khomeini’s thought as well as in that of some Christian Gnostics. Through a phenomenological approach the present article tries to discuss the similarities and differences of these two approaches to gnosticism, gnostic experience and spiritual life.
