The present article is a summary of a lengthy research on the maturity of girls. While discussing some general issues of maturity, the study discusses the natural signs of girl’s maturity, their puberty, the age of maturity, canonical maturity, as well as the contradictions between reasons and traditions. The first part of the article discusses the traditions on the age of maturity of girls. The second part, to be published in the next issue, will discuss the contradictions between traditions and viewpoints of the religious scholars.
