Abstract
The present article is an attempt to study the philosophical foundations of Imam Khomeini’s foreign policy. Since Imam Khomeini was a jurisprudent, a Gnostic, and a philosopher, his governmental viewpoints were influenced by his jurisprudential, mystical and philosophic foundations. For instance, the three advocates of social contract in the Western philosophy believe in the social contract, but the outcome of their contract is different because their approach to man is different. With regard to Imam Khomeini’s governmental viewpoints and his foreign policy, since he rejects any domination of man by man, he too rejects any domination of other countries on the Islamic Republic of Iran. The present article is an attempt to shed light on philosophical approaches of Imam Khomeini to foreign policy.
