Abstract
The present article is an attempt to discuss the following topics:
Imam Khomeini and his defection from the intellectual tradition of the Gnostics; and Imam Khomeini and way of embarking on political activities. According to Imam Khomeini, in traversing this path man faces two kinds of problems: intrinsic and extrinsic.
