Abstract
The present article is an attempt to study the concept of childhood and its stages. Also attempts have been made in this article to study childhood from the viewpoints of Quran, ulema, jurisprudents, Iranian civil code, Islamic jurisprudence and conventions on the children rights. In the end the responsibilities of the parents before marriage, before birth and after birth have been discussed.
