Abstract
The present article is an attempt to analyze the Islamic revolution of Iran. Since the existing social theories cannot analyze the formation of the Iranian revolution, role of the people, causes of the revolution and role of the clerics in the victory of revolution, the author has tried to analyze three issues about the Iranian revolution: 1) the Islamic Revolution and the existing theories; 2) analysis of the Islamic Revolution; and 3) causes of the Islamic revolution. Moreover, the author has tried to compare the Islamic Revolution with other revolutions and discuss the role of the revolution in exposing the weaknesses of social theories in elaboration of revolutions and also discusses the role of the Islamic Revolution in completing the existing theories
